Miami’s School of Education, Health and Society offers a number of graduate programs and courses at the VOA Learning Center during the academic year and summer sessions. 

Courses during the academic year are held in late afternoon to better fit students’ schedules.

• Master’s of Education programs are available in:

• School leadership (leads to principal’s license)

• Adolescent Education
• Elementary Education

Many area educators are eligible to take advantage of Miami’s TEAM (Teacher Education
Access at Miami) Scholarships which provide a 50% reduction in tuition and fees for graduate coursework.  Information about the scholarships and eligibility is available on the School’s TEAM Scholarship web page.

Miami University has received $1.25 million from the State of Ohio for Choose Ohio First scholarships of up to $3,000 annually for prospective and current science and math teachers.  There’s a critical need in Ohio and across the nation to increase the number of highly qualified science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) teachers. The State of Ohio, in an effort to enhance its economic competiveness, has embarked upon an ambitious program to boost the access and appeal of these teaching fields by funding Choose Ohio First scholarships.  Scholarships at Miami are available to:

• Science and mathematics teachers
• Science and mathematics teachers who graduated in 2009
• Mentors working with Choose Ohio participants
• Graduate pre-service teachers seeking licensure in a mathematics or science-related field

We add to the classroom mix the best qualified MBA students in the area, which only multiples your opportunities for learning.

Professional MBA Curriculum  Our curriculum requires completion of 36 total credit hours over our two year program, with a choice of marketing or finance concentrations. During the first year, you will focus on core classes to build fundamental knowledge and understanding. Year two opens up to include elective courses for your selected concentration and brings a greater focus on applying strategy to solve business challenges.

You will take two classes at a time during the 12-week fall and spring semesters, meeting two nights per week. The summer features two 6-week sessions during which you will take one class that meets two nights per week.
